    An adversarial evaluator then challenges the revision, names the exact passages that still read mechanically, and sends only those passages back for targeted correction.

Naturalness report

Every passage is measured before and after editing: sentence-rhythm variation, average sentence length, readability band, formulaic phrasing and repeated sentence openings.

Session history

Passage Mode takes up to 500 words, so each passage receives careful editing, adversarial verification and a complete fidelity review. Paid Document Mode accepts up to 5,000 words and reviews them in sections of up to 500 words. Preservation checks test whether the information you supplied survives editing; they do not establish that the information is true. The naturalness report is an indicative writing measurement produced in your own browser; the reading is not a detector score and not a prediction of one.

What does Lev-Al Prose do?
Lev-Al Prose improves academic, professional, business, journalistic, application and independent writing that you have already written. Your prose is refined, the revision is independently stress-tested, and your meaning, evidence, citations and voice are protected. Three editing modes decide how length is handled: Faithful lets the length change naturally, Exact Length holds a precise word count, and Tighten reduces length without losing protected content.
Is my text stored?
Submitted and edited text are not stored in the application database or application-authored logs. End-to-end non-retention across the gateway and external model providers has not been independently verified; see our Privacy and Data Handling policy.
Will my work pass an AI detector?
AI-detection results are probabilistic and vary by detector, version, language and passage length. Lev-Al Prose improves naturalness and protects your authorship, and cannot promise a particular score or replace your institution's academic-integrity requirements.
How is usage counted?
Every new account can edit one passage of up to 500 words free once the email address is confirmed, with no card. After that, usage is based on the number of words you submit for processing. Individual includes 15,000 processed words per billing month, while Individual Plus includes 25,000. Paid-plan allowances reset on the billing-cycle date, and unused words do not roll over. Each passage counts only once; internal correction and rescanning do not use additional words.
Can I subscribe to a paid plan?
Yes. Select Individual or Individual Plus in the Pricing section and complete payment securely through Stripe Checkout. Your subscription activates after successful payment, and you can manage or cancel it according to the Subscription and Cancellation Policy.
How much text can I send at once?
Passage Mode accepts up to 500 words; paid Document Mode accepts up to 5,000 words, reviewed in sections of up to 500 words.
What does MeaningLock check?
MeaningLock lets you mark the details that must not change — figures, dates, citations, quotations, names or any phrase you select — and then checks each revision to see whether they survived the edit. Each item is reported as Preserved, Review required or Failed; nothing uncertain is shown as verified, and MeaningLock asks for your review whenever preservation cannot be confirmed. It checks preservation only; it does not independently establish that the source information is factually correct.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — one passage. Create an account, confirm your email address, and you can edit a single passage of up to 500 words with the full workflow, at no cost and without a card. If the run fails, the free passage stays available. It is available once per account and does not renew.
Which editing mode should I choose?
Faithful is the default and suits most writing: meaning, evidence and voice are preserved, mechanical prose is removed, and the length changes naturally. Choose Exact Length for abstracts, applications and fixed-length submissions where the word count is prescribed. Choose Tighten when the writing must be shorter. Register Lock sits alongside the modes and holds formality, perspective, register and spelling conventions steady.
Whose responsibility is academic integrity?
Yours, and we will always say so plainly. Lev-Al Prose works only with prose you have already written, and you remain responsible for your institution's, organisation's or publisher's requirements on editing assistance.
